General Information
Reminder that we are using block scheduling for preliminary rounds of this competition. Blocks will begin precisely at the specified time for their first rounds, and the second rounds will proceed immediately after. Please show up to the appropriate room during the appropriate block or you may not be able to play!
For the National History Bee, the block times are:
Block A (Rounds 1-2): Friday, June 17th - 8:00am
Block B (Rounds 1-2): Friday, June 17th - 2:45pm
Block C (Rounds 3-4): Saturday, June 18th - 8:00am
Block D (Rounds 3-4): Saturday, June 18th - 2:45pm
Playoffs (Octofinals, Quarterfinals): Saturday, June 18th - 5:45pm
Playoffs (Semifinals, Finals): Sunday, June 19th - 5:15pm
Playoff Qualifiers
In the National History Bee, the top 72 players in each division will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will follow this structure:
The top 72 players will qualify (Ties for 72nd place will be broken before the Octofinal begins)
The Octofinal will be played in 12 rooms of 6 players each, with the top 3 players in each room advancing to the Quarterfinal
The Quarterfinal will be played in 6 rooms of 6 players each, with the top 3 players in each room advancing to the Semifinal
The Semifinal will be played in 3 rooms of 6 players each, with the top 2 players in each room advancing to the Final
The Final will be played between the top 6 players
